My personal journey with Agudah started in September 2011, when I came onboard as a freelance writer. From the moment I started, I was astounded by the breadth and depth of the services Agudah performs for the community.
Advocacy in offices across the country, where Agudah speaks on a daily basis with the legislators who make the laws that affect our community. Community services such as job training and housing assistance... Food assistance to families in need, which started with Pesach assistance overseas but now has expanded to help families during the pandemic.... A dedicated person on call for any help that individuals may request... Legal assistance to both individuals and communities when their ability to observe their religion is threatened... A strong yeshiva services department, working to help yeshivas and children thrive in an educational system often hostile to religious schools...Vibrant youth programs... Torah programs such as Daf Yomi, Yarchei Kallah and teleconferences before the major holidays.
It has been over 9 years since I first started as a freelancer, and then took a job as Data Asset Manager in Agudah’s Communications Department. But the organization’s work has only expanded. Don’t believe me? Just look at the partial list of Agudah’s accomplishments since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, since March 2020, which you’ll find here.
Why do I love working at Agudah? The people who work here are idealistic, impassioned... They work to make a difference and they work to serve the klal. The best part about Agudah is that I always feel like I am helping my fellow Jew.
Agudah serves you and helps you throughout the year. And now we are asking for your help.
In the next thirty-six hours, we are running a Charidy campaign, with an organizational goal of $5 million dollars. I have a personal goal to raise $1,000. All donations will be matched. Even a small donation of $18 or $36 makes you a vital partner in Agudah’s vital work.
Help us raise the money to continue the amazing work that Agudah does. Contribute at https://charidy.com/agudahnational/dinowitz.
